Detroit, MI - From the Church to the streets to prison, back to the streets and then Church, again, Ken Harden has been there and he stands as an example for anyone that is facing hardships in their life and wanting to overcome; you can find Harden!

Called to ministry in 1993 while being charged with two Attempt Murder and four Felonies Assault charges; Harden accepted the Call and was later acquitted of all charges in 1994.

​

The gospel, music, video production and social media marketing insights are just some of the dynamics and skills of Harden. He presently holds multiple postions in various Christian Ministries and he's working on establishing his own media outlet called, MOGIMEDIAGROUP.

​

He founded  Men Of God Initiative (M.O.G.I.) Ministries & Resource Center in 2010 and is presently working in association with various fellowships across the world. He is also the pastor of First Renaissance Missionary Baptist Church, since 2011.

The Reverend Ken Harden was licensed a Baptist minister by Eber Memorial Baptist Church in 2002. He was ordained in 2004, also by Eber Memorial Baptist Church.

To date, you can find him every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30-2:30 pm teaching Bible Study and leading Prayer at Miles Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, in the city of Detroit and every Sunday morning at the same church teaching Sunday School, singing and playing the organ.

Harden is a student at Wayne Community College District, studying to obtain Associate degrees in General Studies & the Arts; his major is Digital Media Production.

​

From pencil and pen sketches to oils; from canvas to brick walls; Ken loves to paint. If you ask him what he will be doing when he retires, he will tell you, painting. He also designs Graphic Art and Lettering for building signs and walls. 

​

Harden attended Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Michigan in 1980. He was expelled from all Detroit Public Schools in 1983, but he obtained his G.E.D. , scoring the second highest test score in Michigan history, at the time. He did not study for the test. He used real-life experiences  to obtain knowledge and skills in many disciplines, until his dreams were re-awakened by his re-birth into ministry in 1993.

Harden was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1965. He has eight brothers and one sister. His family moved to 

Des Moines, Iowa in 1968, where Ken attended elementary school. His family moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1977. Harden presently lives on the eastside of the city of Detroit. He is very active in his community and he mentors youth and adults, alike.

​

Harden is also an unsigned Gospel recording Artist. His first gospel CD released in 2010, entitled, "Get Ready" was produced by G3 Ent. in Detroit, Michigan. Harden has written and produced over one hundred songs and they are available for online listening on the Internet.

​

Harden is working to establish music workshops for musicians and create After-School Programs dealing with all aspects of the Arts for Detroit Public School students. He is presently networking and volunteering his expertise in these areas.

​

Preaching, teaching and playing the gospel has been the fabric of his life for the last 23 years. Now, Ken is directing his energies into music and video production and distribution.

​

His hobbies include playing the piano, playing the Hammond Organ and writing poetry and novels to name a few. He loves to converse about everything and he is a student of life. He is an avid chess player and he loves math and everything to do with numbers. He even converts his musical interpretations, sometimes using the Numbering system in music Harden also reads music, is a songwriter, music/video editor and producer.

Ken also converses on Twitter, daily. His insights in Social Media Marketing resources, researching trends and analytics and his impartions of wisdom on business growth and visibility for conversion to fellow-social media marketers has given him the title of "Social Media Marketing Guru" by his peers.

​

Harden is a vivacious reader of everything that has to do with the empowerment, growth and development of man.
